Oreo® Cookies

(Two-three-four)

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos, like part of the family

Me, my sister and my brother

And my father and my mother

When the dinner’s done, we study some

Then have fun with each other sharing

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos and relativity

(Two-three-four)

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos, that’s double-stuff for me

With an ice-cold glass of milk

Or a nice hot cup of tea

Or if you think we have the time

I’ll brew us some coffee with these

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos, come dunk you some with me

You won’t find Oreos hiding in your computer

They’re not a sneaky, techie-cookie kind of thing

They’re what they’ve genuinely been for generations

Two chocolate wafers and that marvelous white crème

(Two-three-four)

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos, they’re cookie history

They’re a living cookie legend

They’re a cookie slice of heaven

Right here on earth in the universe

Is the only place to get ‘em, get your

(Just one more)

O-O-Oreo, Oreo Cookies

O-O-Oreos, come dunk you some with me

NOTES ON THIS SONG
I wrote this song to enter in a song contest. When I finished writing I went to the Web site to find out the rules for entering. I discovered that the contest was for the best new version of the old jingle. Oh well, I think this song has a ton of character and would have competed well amongst other songs about Oreos.  Mardi Wareham sings the choruses with me.
