Go Sissy Go

Sissy told the band don’t play nothing slow

I come here tonight to get some rock ‘n’ roll

I don’t want to be touched, I don’t want to get close

I want to roll on the floor, I want to rock this little boat

Go, Sissy, go, get your rock ‘n’ roll

Fuel your rebel soul by dancing

Go, Sissy, go

Sissy made the girls on the dance floor squirm

By the way she made the heads of their young men turn

But Sissy paid ‘em  no mind, she did not come for the worm

She came to light up the music, to see how bright she could burn

Go, Sissy, go, get your rock ‘n’ roll

Feed your female soul by dancing

Go, Sissy, go

And Sissy, when you go, let me go with you

There are lessons I could learn in the moves you use

And I promise Sissy, I’ll take real good care of you

I’ll make sure you make it home

Sissy stumbled in like a teenage girl

Into her bedroom she went spinning like a tilt-a-whirl

That girl was too much to handle, she was too hot to hold

But for all her 39 years, Sissy felt like 19 years old

Go, Sissy, go, get your rock ‘n’ roll

Keep that young girl soul by dancing

Go, Sissy, go

And Sissy, when you go, let me go with you

There are lessons I could learn in the moves you use

And I promise Sissy, I’ll take real good care of you

I’ll make sure you make it home

Go, Sissy, go

Go, Sissy, go

Text Box: NOTES ON THIS SONG
Sissy is probably the prettiest woman I have ever met. I had a crush on her as an adolescent and was fortunate to spend a little time in her company as an adult. Besides being gorgeous, Sissy is a wildcat and a ton of fun to party with. There are several “Sissies” in my life and whether or not this name is made up is not relevant. It’s a tribute to all the women named Sissy I’ve ever known, rebels each, in her own way.
