Crazy in Love

She wants to be crazy in love with somebody

She wants to fall head over heels for some Joe

But she can’t find anyone who fits the description

‘Cept for one guy but that guy is so old

She wants to be crazy in love with somebody

She wants to feel magic deep down in her soul

‘Cause there ain’t been very much mojo in her life

‘Cept for one guy but that guy is so old

She wants to be crazy in love

She wants to be crazy in love

She wants to be crazy in love with some Joe

Sounds like a lotta yadda yadda to me

A lotta yadda yadda yadda

She wants to be crazy in love with some hero

Some superhero who will glitter like gold

But she can’t find anyone she’s taken a shine to

‘Cept for one guy but that guy is so old

She wants to be crazy in love

She wants to be crazy in love

She wants to be crazy in love with some young Joe

Sounds like a lotta yadda yadda to me

A lotta yadda yadda yadda

She wants to be crazy in love with somebody

Well I say good luck girl, go get it, be bold

But don’t be shocked to find that nobody loves you

‘Quite like that guy you keep calling too old

You want to be crazy in love

You want to be crazy in love

You want to be crazy in love but I’m too old

Sounds like a lotta yadda yadda to me

A lotta yadda yadda yadda

You know what I mean? You know what I’m saying?

Hear, tell it to the hand

NOTES ON THIS SONG
Plenty of old guys who date young women will be able to relate to this song. Some of you older women who are dating younger guys might find something to relate to, as well. Though the ending is a bit “in your face,” the truth is that the protagonist is clearly in love with his subject. He’s just tired of the constant battle to bridge the gulf between their ages. Yadda yadda yadda.
