I Never Felt Nothing Like This

(oo oo-oo)

I’ve run with the bulls in Pamplona

I’ve sailed a balloon to the sky

I’ve trekked across desert, I’ve rafted white water and

I’ve stared the monkey square in the eye

But I never felt nothing like this before (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this before

I felt the wind of the hurricane whip me

I felt a blizzard take a bite of my butt

I felt the earth quake the Rose Bowl and me at the same time and

Dick Enberg said he felt it, too, but

I ain’t never felt nothing like this before (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this before

Yank me out of myself

Give it all over or else

I ain’t never felt nothing like this (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this

I’ve been an actor at the Alley in Houston

I’ve been a singer in a rock ‘n’ roll band

I’ve been to Bali just to dally with a native girl named Sally

I’ve been R&R from Afghanistan

But I never felt nothing like this before (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this before

Yank me out of myself

Give it all over or else

I ain’t never felt nothing like that (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this (oo-oo)

I never felt nothing like you (oo-oo)

That little thing that you do

That little coo-coo-cachoo

I ain’t never felt nothing like that (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like you (oo-oo)

The way you whisper my name

It’s a pleasure measured in pain

I ain’t never felt nothing like that (oo-oo)

No I never felt nothing like this (oo-oo)

I ain’t never felt nothing like you (oo-oo)

(oo-oo)

NOTES ON THIS SONG
This is one of those exercises that I refer to throughout these notes. I actually did most of the things mentioned in the lyrics. Out of respect for any military personnel, I’ve never been in the armed forces, so I’ve never been R&R from anything or anywhere. That lyric is more of a tribute to our fighting men and women. The Dick Enberg quote might or might not be accurate. The earthquake was during the Rose Bowl game, though.
