Work at the Burger King®

I don’t want to work at the Burger King no more

That was me those robbers caught when they robbed the store

They made me strip off all my clothes down to my drawers

Then they stuck me in the freezer and they locked the door

Lord I was cold and I was scared

And I swore God if I was spared

That I would never work at the Burger King no more

So I will never work at the Burger King no more

Now I like Whoppers and I like fries

But I am not prepared to die

Just another piece of meat on the freezer floor, unh-uhh

No I am not gonna work at the Burger King no more

I don’t want to work at the Burger King no more

I have never been so terrorized before

They made me strip off all my clothes down to my drawers

Stuck my skinny ass in the freezer and they locked the door

Lord I was cold and I was scared

And I swore God if I was spared

That I would never work at the Burger King no more

So I will never work at the Burger King

No matter if I am starving

I’ll never work at the Burger King again

NOTES ON THIS SONG
Watching the news on a Houston TV station one night, I came across this story. A young man was being interviewed after surviving the ordeal described in the song. The reporter asked the young man how the robbery affected him. His response, “Well, I don’t want to work at the Burger King no more.” I cracked up. I rolled on the floor. I identified with this young man so completely. No knock on Burger King, but what an honest answer!
